The University Urban is considered a highly developed model of university education in many developed countries of the world. Up to now, many companies have also planned and initially implemented the model of " The University Urban Area - the Science City". This is considered a good sign for Vietnam when it is increasingly being directed by the state and the government to focus on developing.
Learn from the natural ecosystem that has existed for more than 3.8 million years. Instead of trying to control the change of the natural ecosystem with a series of negative consequences, let's start creating urban cities. Urban design inspired by nature, respecting its circularity, reducing demand, reusing, recycling is the development trend of Ha Long University Urban.
Special Concept of Ha Long University Urban Project
Inspired by the famous tourist attractions of Quang Ninh is the inspiration for the HaLong University Urban project. Quang Ninh is being considered as one of the provinces capable of economic development in recent years, always leading in competitiveness, continuously succeeding in infrastructure development and administrative reform. One of them is transforming the economy from “ Brown-to-Green ''.
Inspired by this powerful and hard-working transformation story, the architectural team has borrowed the image of the Open-pit Coal Mine representing the " Brown " economy of underground resource extraction, into a step upstream that going up completely like a green mountain of sustainable nature, the " Green " color of knowledge represents the mission of human resources training of HaLong University in particular and Vietnamese talents in general.
With a total area of nearly 10,000m2, the project is divided and restructured freely, multi-faceted and multi-directional according to the tourism symbol of Quang Ninh. This arrangement helps the amount of wind of natural circulation to be taken as much as possible, creating attractive spaces between blocks, a kind of in-between space.
With the purpose of building a space like this, to help with outdoor meeting and communicate activities, these spaces become even more attractive when placed in a few small campuses or a number of sitting positions with a view always look towards the river, lake. With this idea, the Ha Long University Urban project seems to be woven by nature, blending between the architectural blocks of the project. When moving between clusters of the projects, there will be an interesting and curious feeling to explore.
With the purpose of respecting and preserving nature as the core value when developing the idea of building Ha Long University Urban with the simulation of a building block taking the image of Trong Mai island, it helps the viewer to visualize " Ha Long on land ” – the symbol of Quang Ninh.
Ha Long University Urban In terms of form, the work is organized in the direction of leveling to create many planting areas on the façade on the floors. Also on this façade, promenade ramps are organized allowing easy access to different areas from the outside and at the same time creating an attractive walkway that directly connects the green space, the water surface on the floor 1 and the roof floor that Agrihood roof farming is applied.
Along with the landscape is the proposed arable field retained around the clusters of the project, the agricultural roof is important in terms of the participation of the social sectors in the operation of a university urban project.
